The Each and Every Child framing recommendations are designed to shift public attitudes and build understanding of care experience and the care system. In doing this, we can counter stigma and discrimination. However, research shows that is hard to have conversations about stigma itself without actually making it worse.
Explanation matters. This session will look in depth at the Stigma recommendation, and how we can counter stigma by explaining how stigma works, what it is, where it comes from, what it leads to and how it can be countered.
Delivered via Zoom, this 2.5hr session will take you on a deeper dive into how we can counter stigma effectively through framing theory and practical exercises and opportunities for discussions that will explore how you can use this recommendation in your specific roles and conversations.
This session is for people who have already completed the Introduction to Framing and Framing Care Experience session.
